DOUG SMITH APPOINTED FINANCIAL OFFICER OF

D FILMS CORPORATION

TORONTO, ONTARIO, July 29, 2010 — Doug Smith has been appointed Chief Financial
Officer of D FILMS CORPORATION, Canada’s fastest growing motion picture
distribution company. Mr. Smith is a 20-year veteran of the entertainment industry
with substantial expertise in financial forecasting and the licensing of content. In
his new role at D FILMS, Smith will oversee the company’s finance, accounting, and
television licensing.

The announcement was jointly made today by D Films’ President and CEO, Jim
Sherry and by Chairman of the Board of Directors, Darryl Iwai. Smith’s
appointment is effective immediately.

Smith spent over a decade at Alliance Atlantis Motion Picture Distribution where he
served as Executive Vice President responsible for sales and operational activities.
During his tenure at Alliance, he made important contributions to the successful
placement of thousands of hours of home-grown Canadian television and filmed
properties with all of the major and niche programming services. He was also
responsible for the company’s representation of popular primetime properties,
including all three CSI series, Survivor, Everybody Loves Raymond and Fear Factor
as well as feature films such as the Lord of The Rings and Austin Powers franchises
and The Blair Witch Project. While there, his other responsibilities included Library
forecasts and valuations, oversight of Contract Administration, Business and Legal
Affairs, Library/Rights Management, IT service support and software development.

For the past two years Mr. Smith has run his own consultancy company which
advises several industry -leading companies such as Cineplex Entertainment, Corus
Entertainment and Rogers Communications

Doug Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario (1992),
a Degree in Broadcast Television from Fanshawe College (1994), and an MBA from
Queens University (2004). He is also a Certified Management Accountant (2004).
