D FILMS SIGNS EXCLUSIVE, MULTI-PICTURE HOME ENTERTAINMENT DEAL

WITH SONY PICTURES HOME ENTERTAINMENT, CANADA

Toronto, Ontario, March 29, 2010 – Independent Canadian motion picture distribution boutique, D FILMS has signed an exclusive, multi-picture, DVD distribution deal with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Canada (SPHEC), it was jointly announced today by President and CEO of D Films, JIM SHERRY, and by Derrick Forster, Vice President, Canada for Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

The first titles to be released by SPHEC under the new partnership will be:

CREATION – A psychological, heart-wrenching love story starring Paul Bettany (Legion, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World) as Charles Darwin. The Opening Night Gala screening at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival, CREATION takes a unique look at Darwin, his family and his love for his deeply religious wife, played by Academy Award® winner Jennifer Connelly (A Beautiful Mind).

MAX MANUS – Norway’s top-grossing domestic release since 1975, MAX MANUS is a rousing historical epic that tells the true story of one of Europe’s most celebrated World War II-era resistance fighters.

HIGH LIFE – Hailed by Maclean’s Magazine as: “A Canadian answer to the Coen Brothers, with a Tarantino Kick,” HIGH LIFE’S high wire tension unfolds with calamitous results in this story of a bank heist gone wrong, starring Timothy Olyphant (A Perfect Getaway, TV’s “Deadwood”), Joe Anderson (Across the Universe), Rossif Sutherland (The Poor Boy’s Game) and Stephen McIntyre (Horsemen).

The deal was negotiated by President and CEO, D Films, Jim Sherry and by Derrick Forster, VP Canada and Stuart Segal,Executive Director Sales for Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Canada.
