October 15, 2014 – D Films announced today that it has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Blumhouse International, the international sales arm of Blumhouse, which produces micro-budget genre franchises such as Paranormal Activity, Insidious, Sinister and The Purge.

D Films will exclusively represent all Canadian distribution rights to future Blumhouse productions outside of Blumhouse’s deal with Universal Pictures.

Blumhouse’s film division specializes in micro-budget genre movies and its franchises which have grossed more than $1.2 billion worldwide on combined budgets under $40 million.  Blumhouse International oversees foreign sales for Blumhouse’s films and has a worldwide distribution and servicing deal with IM Global.
